Patricia Apollonia Kotero was an American model and a singer. Also, she was co-starring with Prince in his 1984 film Purple Rain. Her name was associated with her as the co-star of Prince's 1984 movie Purple Rain, and the vocalist for the girl group Apollonia 6 Apollonia is a singer/actress who was christened by Prince in 1984, became one of many female musicians of the 80s who benefitted from Prince. Patricia Kotero was born in Santa Monica, California in the year 1959. Her first professional venture was with modeling in the 1970s. Also, she appeared on CHiPS. In 1984, she was the role of the lead female for Prince's Purple Rain (during which time he changed her name) and was replaced by Vanity as a member of the female group Vanity 6 singing with them in the movie with the title Apollonia 6. Kotero cut ties with Prince when they had a disagreement during the course of her career. Apollonia 6 broke up after their fallout. She appeared in several minor film projects during this time and was reportedly not allowed to be involved in her role in the Purple Rain sequel Under the Cherry Moon. Between 1985 and 1986, she landed a part on the drama series for evenings Falcon Crest. Apollonia released her first album in 1988. However, it was a fairly pedestrian collection of R&B/dance music that failed to impress the people. The album was quickly wiped out of sight. Throughout the decade that followed, she remained an active actor, with a few film appearances as well as small television shows. Apollonia produced a Spanish/English bilingual album called Stay with me. Later on, following going back to college and obtaining an award for filmmaking, she formed her production business. This American beauty is also known for appearing in music videos featuring famous artists such as Ray Parker Jr. Kotero has also been an entrepreneur, and has established Kotero Entertainment, a multimedia entertainment company.
